Jackson is 6 Weeks, 2 Days Old

Ok I know I have not been good on updated the blog. Its not easy to find time to do a whole lot when you have a newborn in the house and a house to keep up. Jackson is 6 weeks and 2 days old. I can't believe how fast time has flown by and how big our little guy is getting. He has brought us so much joy. He is so much fun, I am having a blast being at home with him. Everyday he seems to amaze me with something new that he does and discovers. There is not really much to talk about with us. We are starting to get out more with him. We took him to a Dodgers game, he was such a good boy. Taking him shopping with me - and dinners. Next week is his first big holiday, 4th of July at my sisters house. I can't wait!! All I have to say is kids are A LOT of work and you better damn well be ready to have one. But they sure do bring joy to your life. I do miss the alone time with Brent. Hopefully we will get a date night soon. But I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I will be doing my BEST to update weekly with how old he is, his weight and a picture to compare. Sheesh how do people do it with 2 kids? Or TWINS for that matter?? Below are some pictures that I have taken every week since he was born.

Also my brother Garry left last week on his deployment to Afghanistan. I am SUPER bummed that he has yet to meet his nephew and it looks like he will not be meeting him until the first of the year. We are crossing our fingers that he makes it home for Christmas. All we can do is hope. Please everyone say an extra prayer for my brother and his safety while he is gone.

How Old: 6 Weeks, 2 Days

Weight: 11.8 lbs

Sleeping: 4 - 5 hour stretches each night. (last night he slept 5 hours, then another 4 hours) WONDERFUL!!!! But I pay for it during the day when he only naps once during the day. Makes it hard to get anything done - my blogging for example. He takes little cat naps here and there but mostly he loves to be awake to see what mommy is doing.

Eating: LOTS!! 4-5 ounces every 3-4 hours.

What he did new this week or what he discovered: He is noticing colorful objects more - and is mesmerized by them.

Here are some pictures from the Dodger game that we took him to. He was looking around like crazy. Yes I am wearing an Angels jersey while Jackson and Brent are wearing Dodgers attire. When we are at Angel stadium we wear Angel's attire. LOL!
