11 Weeks Old

Jackson is now 11 weeks old. So much has gone on with him since my last post. He had his 2 month doctors appointment. He did great during his shots, only cried for a short minute, but was really sad and fussy for the rest of the night and the following day. Considering Jackson hardly ever cries, we knew he was in pain. We felt so bad for him. Not looking forward to his 4 month appointment. For his height he was 23 1/2 inches long and in the 72percentile. And for his weight he was 12lbs, 1.9 ounces and in the 61 percentile. Doctor said he looks GREAT!! Jackson is now smiling ALL the time, coo-ing, starting to giggle at every little thing. He has noticed his hands and that he can grab things with them. He isnt grabbing too much yet but only a blanket. He is sure trying though. I have made a doctors appointment for him to talk about getting his tongue clipped. I think in the long run he will be happier with this. He wants to so badly suck his thumb but he is not able to being tongue tied. I am not looking forward to this as well as the doctor said he will be cranky for a few days.

Other then that we are taking him everywhere now. Dinner, baseball games, shopping, friends houses, birthday parties. I get so many compliments on what a good baby he is. He truly is such a mellow boy. If I was guaranteed all my babies were going to be this way, I would have 5 more. He makes being a mom so easy. He is growing so fast - having to already pack away some of the 0-3 month old clothes. It makes me sad that he is not this little baby anymore, but I am SO looking forward to the coming months when his personality starts coming out. He loves the ladies that is for sure, just like his daddy.

Below are some pictures that I have taken over the last few weeks. I just love his smile and cant get enough of it. :)

8 Weeks, 3 Days Old

I am trying really hard to keep up with the blog. Hey I am only 2 weeks behind this time. Jackson is now 8 weeks and 3 days old. Jackson was a hit on the 4th of July. He's going to be a ladies man that is for sure. All the girls wanted to hold him. He is such a snuggle bunny. We have been struggling with Jackson and his car seat - he doesnt like being in it at all unless the car is moving. We went down to San Diego for a few hours for a friends birthday party and the drive was 2 hours there and 2 hours back. He cried a little bit each time. I sat in the back to give him some comfort when he would get upset. Other moms just say let him cry and he will cry himself to sleep. That is basically what he did. I do see an improvement with him as he gets older, he is tolerating it more. We plan on taking him to the river in August and know we will have to stop at least once or twice for him but we would like for him to be somewhat used to the car by this time so he is not crying the whole way there. I know what the long drives do to me, you would think he would just wanna sleep the whole time too.

Below are his 7 and 8 week old pictures - also some favorites that I took of him. I get so many people that tell me he looks and acts so much older then a 2 month old. He is such a good baby and advancing so fast.

Also, please keep my brother Garry in your thoughts and prayers as he just found out that he lost his best friend in a motorcycle accident on July 4th. His friend, Blake, who worked for the military was out of the country for work. My brother is upset because he cannot be here to attend his funeral. R.I.P. Blake. Thank you for being such a good friend to my brother.
