Today marks 3 months since Brent's heart attack. His doctors are very happy with his progress. His last test results for his cholesterol came back significantly low. So the long walks with Koda, Brent's determination to stay healthy and my cooking are all paying off. :)
His results from his eco-cardiogram last week came back. Normally your heart pumps about 50-70 percent of your blood supply per beat. After his heart attack his heart was showing he was only pumping about 40 percent. This last eco showed that he is now at 50 percent. Which is at the lower end of normal, but the doctors are happy to see this. This last eco did still show that he does have damage to his heart. His first eco after his heart attack showed about 10 percent damage to his heart - we do not know if this percentage is still the same or not. We have been told this type of damage usually cannot be repaired. So that is why it is so important for him to stay healthy.
We are so happy with his progress. I cant believe it has already been 3 months. Its a blessing it happened when it did - its has helped me to eat extremely healthy throughout my pregnancy. Brent, myself and our baby will all be healthy. His heart attack has definitely taught us a lesson about life - and to never take it for granted. A BIG THANKS to all of our family and friends for your support these last 3 months. We dont know where we would be without all of your thoughts and prayers.

87 Days to go
I have officially moved into my 3rd trimester. Time has gone by so fast - I feel like just yesterday we were announcing to everyone that we were expecting. Now its crunch time. Baby showers, child birthing classes and setting up the nursery. Are you ever really ready for a baby? Because I sure as heck do not feel like I am ready. I am scared to death......
Brent and I had an absolute amazing time at the desert over the weekend. I seriously think I would choose to take our trailer out for vacation over any other place to vacation at. There is just something about camping and the peacefulness of the outdoors. Below are some pictures that I took - we pretty much did a whole lot of nothing. And that is exactly what we were hoping for.

Brent was super excited - he had his first ground beef burger in almost 3 months.

26 weeks along
I am now only days shy of moving into the 3rd trimester. YIKES!! When I told Brent the other day that I had moved into double digits - 94 days until my due date, his eyes got really big like..."oh my, he is going to be here soon." Tonight we start child birthing classes. Some people have said the class is very helpful while others said its a waste of time. We will go to a class or two and see what we think. I saw my nephew being born so I kind of know what to expect - Brent on the other hand this is all new to him so I think it will be good for him to go to. Brent is SO looking forward to it. LOL!
Brent has his eco-cardiogram tomorrow to see how much damage has been done to his heart. I will update everyone on how that goes.
Brent and I are heading out this weekend on a mini getaway to the desert. We are going to be taking our trailer out. We have our big trailer that we hardly ever use, so we thought this weekend being Valentine's Day & all, why waste our time trying to get into a fancy restaurant. To me, camping just by ourselves is just as romantic. :) Its something that we are really looking forward to.
How far along: 26 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: up 13 lbs
Maternity clothes: Same as last week - maternity everything.
Stretch marks: Still nothing yet. :)
Sleep: Another decent week of sleep - but waking up for work in the morning like I got none what so ever.
Best moment this week: Its only Monday so nothing exciting yet.
Gender: Still a boy!
Movement: Lots of movement.
Belly button in or out?: Still in - but I have a feeling its going to be popping out soon.
Craving: Sweets.
What I miss: I want my energy level back. My energy is starting to go again. :(
What I am looking forward to: Results from Brent's eco-cardiogram, childbirthing classes, moving into my 3rd trimester and our mini getaway to the desert.

30th Birthday
Well yesterday marked my 30th birthday. To be honest, I thought yesterday would be quite difficult. It wasnt so bad. I had lots of birthday wishes, got some awesome gifts and had a nice dinner with the family. Below are some pictures of Brent at dinner. We went to our favorite mexican restaurant, Mario's in Huntington Beach. Its been 2 months since Brent's heart attack - and 2 months since he has had ANY greasy food what so ever. He has been waiting for this day for weeks. People asked if I chose Mario's to have dinner at just for him....well yeah probably. But thats ok, the smile on his face after he ate his meal was priceless. :) Oh yes and also, his plate was cleared within 5 minutes.

24 Weeks Along
Yesterday marked 24 weeks into my pregnancy. They say Week 24 is considered point of viability, meaning that if our little man was born today, he would have a chance of survival. He would however be in intensive care for many months. It feels great to have gotten this far into the pregnancy. We still have a ways to go but he will be here before we know it.
Below is something I have seen on previous blogs that I thought was a cute idea, this way I could compare week to week during the remainder of my pregnancy. My moods, my body changing, cravings etc.
How far along: 24 Weeks, 1 Day
Total weight gain/loss: up 9 lbs
Maternity clothes: Maternity pants, stretchy pants, some maternity shirts but mostly still wearing my regular shirts.
Stretch marks: So far so good!
Sleep: Some nights are good, others not so good.
Best moment this week: Getting the crib bedding delivered. That was a gift from my mom. :)
Gender: Still a little man
Movement: TONS. He loves when I eat and when I am relaxing on the couch after a long day.
Belly button in or out?: Still in - thank goodness. :)
Craving: Peanut Butter n Chocolate ice cream from Baskin Robbins.
What I miss: Sushi :(
What I am looking forward to: My monthly checkup next week.
Brent also had blood work done on Tuesday to get his cholesterol levels checked since his heart attack. They results came back yesterday and lets just say we are super happy with the results. His cholesterol has dropped significantly (not that it was super high before but it didnt hurt him to get the number down)but good to know that his meds - and my cooking are working. :) Next week he meets with a team that will be monitoring his cholesterol closely.
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend. :)

Brent's Doctors Appt
Brent had a doctors appt with his cardiologists yesterday and said everything looks good so far. He will have an eco-cardiogram in about a month to see how much damage has actually been done to his heart. But with healthy diet, exercise and staying on his meds long term, he has a long life to live - and could probably out live all of us.
I am at 23 weeks now in my pregnancy. Below is the first picture I have taken of my baby bump. The tummy is gettin bigger and bigger. I can no longer suck it in. Its here to stay for awhile. :)

Also met up with some friends from elementary school last night. Sarah, Kim, & Sharon - it was SO good to see you. These girls have not changed a bit - they are still the sweetest ever. And that my friends is why I love Facebook. Reconnecting with old friends is the best. :) Here is a picture below that we took after dinner.
